Hoof Update!

I caught lizzie today and took an update picture of her hoof. For a flashback, you can visit this blog post!

Here is a miniature collage I put together that is a tiny recap:

and THIS is what it looks like today!

                                 Day 1                                                                        Today!

NO quarter crack. NO funky growths. YES it looks perfect! (Minus her needing a trim some kind of badly!)
But, Her coronary band looks amazing! You can see how much it has actually grown out since she got hurt. That funky looking band and below where her hoof looks retarded is the injury line.

I'm ecstatic about this. I thought I was going to have a lame horse for the rest of her life. She is only 6 and that would have been devastating. I already lost her brother at the age of 6... I don't need anything to happen to this little mare!

After a lot of hard work and wrapping, I have successfully gotten my first injured hoof healed! All I know is Furazone is some amazing stuff.

Wow, GREAT job. That was a really serious injury and for the horse to come out sound and with a foot growing as nicely as it is, that must mean you are a fabulous horsey nurse :)
