I'll be back soon.

It has been a crazy month!

Nursing school has me completely booked.

I had a Psychology test today, a huge research paper due yesterday, clinical (1 1/2 hour away) all day tuesday, clinical all day monday in that same town, and... it goes on.

Josh and I are driving to the blue grass state this weekend to pick up at least 13 little pigs! We are getting 2 for him.. the rest are for others that are wanting pigs for their kids. I think it will be a fun little trip.

I have been trying to ride horses as much as I can. I have been trying out a new saddle that someone brought into my dad's business to trade him...
What cha think?

Josh and I have been hanging out with my friend/neighbor Lexie and her boyfriend Matt. Riding horses, watching movies, and going to haunted houses. Oh yes. I love haunted houses! They are so not scary. ;)

My best friend came into town on the 14th/15th. I was SO excited to see her! She helped me out tremendously with Blair's 3rd Old McDonald birthday party. Josh did too! We loaded up SoBe, Donkey, and Opie, along with 2 baby goats from my neighbor! It was so much fun.

I still can't believe we got Opie on that trailer! He did so good!

We also went to the Georgia  National Fair. That is always fun!!! She also refreshed my trimming skills. There is so much that I forgot! Then we ended the weekend with a good horse ride! :)

Love you Rhi!!!

Now I am going to bed. I have a date with a 1 year old in the morning at 7:45.
Let's see if I can remember how to babysit! ;)

Horses, Food Trucks, Six Flags, and.. Josh! :)

I would have never though that my two weeks off of school would be two of the busiest weeks of my life!!!

I took two ATI tests today for nursing school and passed them both so now I can move onward to the next classes!! (Which start tomorrow).

As I think back to what my last two weeks have contained the things that stick out the most are:
1) Hang out with Joshua (that's my favorite part!)
2) Take care of Lizzie, clean out her stall 2X a day, and re-bandage her foot 1X day.
3) Being a part of Brittany and Patrick's wedding. It is so special to share those days with friends. :)
4) Hang out with Joshua (told you!! It's my favorite!!!)
5) Finding out one of my friends is getting a miniature pig for her birthday this week! Eee! So cute!
6) Canceling my and Josh's yearly camping trip, but making it up with a trip to ATL to visit with my friend Becky and going to six flags! :)

Last Wednesday Josh and I decided to make a trip to the ATL and visit Becky. We had already talked about it at Brittany's wedding, since Becky was a bridesmaid too, so we were ready and all planned out! She lives in the Virginia Highlands area of ATL and I LOVE that area. It is SO nice.

Wednesday night we decided to go to 'the food trucks'. I was so excited when Becky told me about them, because we eat 'taco truck' at the watermelon farm and I could just imagine it being just like that! I pictured some trucks that look like the taco trucks driving through the neighborhoods selling food... but what I actually saw was SO much cooler!!!

The coolest trucks ever all lined up in a circle.... with TONS of people and dogs!

We at Texas Tacos! And of course little Oliver came with us! Oliver is Becky's little dog!

We all had the Chicken Fresca and Lime fries. Those fries are DELICIOUS!

Gelato truck. Yum.
But, I didn't get gelato because I decided I want to get some yogurt from the Yoforia. Have you ever been to one of those?! It's awesome. You serve yourself and they charge you by weight. It was amazing. I need to open one up in my town.

Me and Becky!

And a cupcake truck!

aren't these the coolest?!?!

I wish I lived in Atlanta sometimes. I just would have to have my horses up there, especially right now because lizzie just can't go without her bandage being changed.

and to top things off...
Oliver.

Thanks for letting us sleep under your roof Beckster! :)

Josh and I had a wonderful time at six flags! We liked watching all the people get shot with the water shooters on the thunder river ride. It was hilarious! I swear this one guy spent at least $10 on tokens.... 25 cents a toke. Ridiculous!

We rode almost all the rides. We got to the Georgia Cyclone and it about killed us. We were holding each other down trying to keep each other from shaking and bouncing around. The worst feeling that I've ever had was when I was on that ride "ok, I'm really ready to get off right now!" but, you can't get off and it just seems like the ride keeps going and going and going. Miserable.

But the Goliath was awesome! and the Mindbender too. Always loved that one.

And the best news! We only spent 13 dollars inside the park! Awesome I know.

I must go help Josh feed his pigs now!

I hope everyone has had an awesome Monday!

And was it just me... or did it feel like Fall was trying to come around this morning?! It was gorgeous outside!

Brittany's Wedding!

Before I study and before my computer dies.... enjoy these pictures from this weekend! :)

Gorgeous Bride!!
Notice all the ribbons coming out of the cake? Each one had a charm for the bridesmaids that would tell about their future.... I got the engagement ring! Next to be engaged?! We will see!  ;)
Some of the others were an airplane for life of travel, money bag for financial security, four leaf clover for luck, and wedding bells for the next to get married.

All of the Bridesmaids and the pretty bride after Brunch.

Girls Night Out!

One of my oldest friends is getting married in a week, so we had a get together last night for her bachelorette party!

Leslie, Becky, Brittany, Carrie, & Me

I'm pretty sure Brittany was my first friend ever. We took dance/tap together when we were little bitty children... Britt, you thought I forgot about the picture didn't you! :)

We also had sleep overs at my mema's house all the time. We played dress up in her old gowns, drew on the driveway with sidewalk chalk, and rode bikes until our little lets were about to fall off!

So, in celebration of Brittany, last night all of her bridesmaids (except one, Lindsay we missed you!) got together and went to dinner. We went to a fancy restaurant that put a hole in my pocket, but it was worth it because that was the best steak I've ever had and I got to spend time with great friends!

We came back to my house and played with all my puppies

(how could Lola not get any attention from 5 girls!?)  and Brittany opened some lingerie! Ow ow! ;)

After asking Brittany some questions about the groom that we had gotten him to answer earlier, we ate cake and other snacks while talking about the excitement of the wedding that is less than a week away!!

So what do you think of this cake?
I know one thing, Mama Jan didn't make it! Although... she did give us a couple of pointers while we were mixing the batter! Thanks Mom!
Yep, Leslie and I made that! We are very proud of it! :)
I did the decorating... I must say, I take after my mother's skills!

We had a wonderful night. It was so much fun getting to spend time with friends and not have to worry about school!! I can't wait until Friday when I get to go get a pedicure and spend more time with these girls!

P.S.  If anyone wants a cake... I charge $50 cheaper than my mom ;)

Free horse

So, I got a phone call about a 9 year old Quarter Horse mare that needed a home. For free.

How could I NOT go look at her?!

Well, I called the lady and talked to her about this mare and found at that she is a little hard to, catch and that she needed an experienced rider. She was good for the farrier and good to ride as long as you worked her in the round pen first. Well, I'm the type that saddles up my horse in the front yard and jumps on and says yee haw let's go! So I was a little turned off.

She was once owned by the state of Georgia, seized from an abused home, so they will need to know where she goes, check up on her, etc. That detoured a couple of people away from her to begin with.

I told the lady that I would be by on Wednesday to look at her and ride her. Well, it ended up that I went this morning. She did pretty good for me. I had to get after her a couple of times with my spurs and I was in her mouth the entire time because she just wanted to go go go... She definitely needs a person that knows what they are doing to work with her, but I think she has great potential.

I decided that I didn't need a new horse just because it's not fair to my other five horses that are each 200 lbs over weight that need to be worked with, so I told my friend Jaclyn about the horse and she is going to try her out. She has been riding my dead broke SoBe and I think she needs a step up. I believe all good riders learn to ride from riding as many horses as they can!
Jaclyn rode Sassy one day and did well... Lizzie was the next one for her to ride... and I just don't trust Lizzie enough to put anyone on her.  I hope this mare works out, and doesn't end up being 'too much horse'. If she doesn't fit in perfectly, then Sassy will have to be the step up project!

So here are some pictures of this beautiful girl.

Had to show her was boss a little bit! But she stood perfectly still when I got on her and did exactly what I wanted her to do!
P.S. She has a brand! how cool!?!? I have always wanted to brand my horses...

And here she is probably thinking "Geez, it's so hot out here and I can't get away with a dang thing with this girl on me!"  ;)

I really like this mare a lot. I hope she likes my horses enough to where they get along (so she can stay) and that Jaclyn will be able to ride her! It's hard for me to stoop to a lower riding level and ttell someone 'yeah you will be able to ride her!' just because I can, but that just isn't always the case! hopefully she will be a good fit.

I'll update next week when I go get her!  She'll be living at my house, that way I will be able to work with her and help Jaclyn out.

Birthday.

Yes, today is my birthday :)

I was born 24 years ago today. I'm officially old.

I thought I was going to have the worst birthday ever because all of my family is out of town... but it actually has turned out to be a great birthday!

My Mema took me and Josh to the local seafood restaurant to eat for my birthday last night. It was SO yummy. It's a new restaurant and I had not been there yet. I got oysters (steamed) and they were delish!

After dinner  my horse riding buddy and friend, Jaclyn, came over to have a slumber party for my birthday. She wrote "Happy Birthday Molly!" on the sidewalk where I park my car and had a present for me! I opened my precious card that she handmade herself (crafty little thing!). I must have taken a long time to read my card and then I asked her a question about the last sentence on my card... "Becareful what you pin..."  I said, huh?! did I pin something I wasn't supposed to!? What did I do?! Did I offend someone?! and she blurted out "Just open your present already!!" haha!

She had gotten me a pillow from Anthropologie that matches my room. I cried.

She saw that I posted it on pinterest.com and she got it for me! She is so thoughtful and made me feel like I was the most important person in the world!

I immediately went and made up my bed and put my pillow on there. I love it!

Josh was at my house too so we watched movies. Jaclyn had also gotten me a bottle of Bailey's (see, this girl is awesome!)! I'm not a big drinker... but I love me some Bailey's!

Josh left and Jaclyn and I stayed up talking like 12 year olds. I went to bed around 2:30 and before I knew it... it was 7:50 in the morning and my sweet boyfriend was coming into my room to tell me he was going to make breakfast for me!

When I got up, there were balloons all over the floor in front of my room! Jaclyn again!

We ate cinnamon rolls and talked about how yummy the middle cinnamon roll is and how everyone always fights over it. :)

Then Josh told me to stay put... that he'd be right back! I sat on the floor with Lola until he came back inside. He gave me my card and told me to stay right there on that side of the counter that I couldn't see it yet! I opened my card, It had one of my favorite pictures of us on the front, special ordered just for me! Of course, there was the sweetest note in the world in there. I cried again.

Then he told me to close my eyes... now open!  He had made a gorgeous picture for my room! He works for my dad's sign company so he didn't have any trouble at all finding good help! ;)
It was one of the pictures I had taken in the sunflower field (same time as my header was taken). It's realllly long and looks realllly pretty over my bed! I'll have to take a picture of it when I get it hung and post it on here! I love it!!

So this birthday has been wonderful so far! Now I'm just ready for my family to come home!

James, Friday, and Buster Brown

At 7:18 am I received a phone call, "I'm about to head out in about 5 minutes, all I need to do is hook my horse up. See you in a bit". I rolled out of bed and threw on my boots.

Flint and I headed out at about 8 to meet James.

James Newton is a 70 year old man that has come to middle Georgia with his horse, Friday, and buggy... from texas.

He has been over 3000 miles with this horse and countless cities and towns. His story is one of the most interesting stories I have ever heard.

Now, don't you start worrying about Friday... she is very well taken care of! She actually is kind of fat!! He gets her feet done often (they look better than Flint's feet!) and she gets loving attention 24/7. She actually only likes this man and not many others. She likes me alright, but not much. James told me that I was the first person that she hass actually allowed to pet her in a good while. He was pretty amazed.

He also has a little dog that has been with him the entire way, Buster Brown. He scratched Flint's poor nose, but Flint is ok!

So How did I get this adventure?!
I met James on Friday night after I found out that my boss's husband (from the pottery place) invited him to stay on their farm when he saw him going through town Friday at lunch. Josh and I went over to meet him and talked to him for an hour. He told us that he planned on going to Perry to stay at an RV park (the RV park that my dad just happens to own!). I told him that my family owned that park and after a few more minutes after finding out that I lived towards Perry and that I have horses myself... he then invited me to ride along with him. I was ecstatic! I told Josh that even if he didn't remember to call me on Sunday morning that I was going to saddle up my horse and go find him anyways!

Well, I got the call, got on my horse and rode about 3 hours with James. It was so much fun! We talked about Friday and his journey and where he will go next. I told him he should go to Helen, GA and that is now on his trip plans!

We got him settled at the RV park and I went to get Friday some hay. I got her a couple buckets full (off of a round bale) and ended up just taking the whole round bale over there earlier this evening! He was so happy and thankful. They will be around for 2 days. I will be taking him to get some new horse shoes, a bag of feed, and to the post office tomorrow.

Hopefully this sweet, old man will be back through GA in the future!

And Flint made the ride to Perry! I'm so proud of my boy!
